CHAKRA HEALTH
The seven chakras are energy centers that each one of us has. Through them, we absorb energy from the environment, and we interchange energy amongst ourselves. The seven major chakras are lined up in the spinal column, and each one has its specific function for your body, mind and spirit. The first chakraThe first chakra is at the base of your spine. From there, two roots emerge (your legs) which are divided again in the toes. Body: The first chakra governs the more solid elements of your body: your bones, your teeth and your nails. Your body should eliminate a lot of toxins through the intestines daily. If this does not occur, toxins that stagnate here will be reabsorbed into your body, and a toxic buildup in the intestinese affect the health of your prostate (if you have one), your anus and your mind. (You have heard the term 'anal retentive'...) Mind: An overall sense of security comes from a well-nourished and well-cleaned first chakra. Constipation also causes an accumulation of old ideas in the head. Let these old ideas go... let them be eliminated in the faeces. Spirit: A desire to go on living (in the body) is firmly planted here. Removing the desire to live is as easy as removing the root of an old tree. Opening the first chakra: Direct contact with the earth nourishes the first chakra, which is why it feels so good to walk barefoot on the beach. In the same way that the root of a plant ceases to pull food and water when it loses contact with the earth, the first chakra closes on people living far from nature, in tall buildings, and people who spend most of their time in concrete jungles. The second chakraThe second, behind and slightly below the navel, is the source of your creative energy, and your emotions and your sexuality. Body: Our body grows from here, the same way that a huge tree grows from its seed: half goes up, half goes down. Some people are surprised to learn that humans can grow at any age, pushing our legs down like roots. Done correctly, the trunk rises effortlessly. The second chakra is responsible for the sexual organs in both genders. Mind: All feelings and emotions are handled on the second level of the aura by the second chakra. Spirit: While the spirit in the first chakra is for mere existence, at the second level, the spirit begins to create. Here is the source of the creative force, which flourishes in higher levels. Opening the second chakra: the color orange awakens the second chakra. So does any excercise that opens and stretches the hips. The third chakraThe third chakra, at the entrance of the stomach, is a warehouse of power or stress, depending on your way of managing your third chakra. Sometimes, we believe that the stomach calls for a meal, when the third chakra is actually asking for rest, relaxation and cleansing through stretching. Body: Mind: The third chakra is linked to the brain, specifically the part of the brain responsible for our logic and reason. If you can not sleep at night because there are so many thoughts running through your head, the solution can be found in your third chakra. Spirit: Opening the third chakra: It is easy to open the third chakra with deep, slow breaths into the belly. Exercises that help most are backbends like bridge and wheel. The fourth chakra, the heart chakraAt the intersection of the two largest energetic "highways" is the fourth chakra. Here is the source and the center point of the auric light. The seat of the soul, and the center of the lungs. When you focus your attention here, you will feel each rib muscle working in harmony to expand your lungs with every inhalation, and again to push the air out of the lungs during each exhalation. One feels responsible for his own life due to the fact that your very life depends on your automatic breathing, and in fact that autopilot is you! Body: The breathing in the lungs and the beating of the heart palpitations are interdependent with the state's fourth chakra. Diseases of the two organs almost always start with an upset of the same chakra and to a certain extent, we can prevent disease chakra in maintaining good order. Mind: The feelings normally associate with the heart are the ones who reelmente correspond to the fourth chakra. We all know the feeling of love, which seemed to come from the heart. In fact, this feeling of love is the normal state of the fourth chakra. But the same room chakra is able to make us feel fear. When that protects us from any danger, the fear is considered something healthy. But when there is no danger, it is easy to confuse any sense "from the heart" as love. Spirit: The fourth chakra is the seat of the soul. Our spiritual journey is not where they marked by the feet, but where is the "heart". When we are confused and do not know which two or more options to choose, the heart always has the correct answer. Ignore the voices outside and continue your heart. Opening the fourth chakra: The fourth chakra is opened easily by any stretch of the spine to the back. Equally important is to breathe deeply, filling the lungs to chest level. The colors that nourish the fourth chakra are pink and green. The fifth chakraThe fifth chakra is at the center of the throat, center of your communications. Body: A fifth chakra well fed and open gives you a loud and clear. We express easily through the words of the song, or painting. Mind: The creative drives, which begin in the second chakra, fluorecen here. Artists such as painters and singers have developed well this center, as well as people speaking well. Spirit: Opening the fifth chakra: To awaken this center, is aware of the flow of air from the throat while breathe deeply in the chest or in the belly. Anytime you can look to the sky to stretch the muscles of the neck. For people who work at a desk, a good massage between the shoulders and neck can remove the stress that normally prevents the rise in energy kundalini until the fifth chakra. The sixth chakraThe sixth chakra is at the center of the brain, driving all the senses, including your sixth sense, intuition. Body: The sixth chakra governs the hearing, the ear, all the senses (including the "sixth"). Mind: With the sixth chakra closed, we rely too much on the eyes, for example, to understand our midst. Indeed, the eyes can see only the colors between red and violet, very little compared to the huge list of 'color' that our eyes can not see. The same thing happens with our hearing and smell. Only with the sixth chakra open, we can understand the full reality. The sixth chakra sobreactivo produces nightmares. Spirit: Opening the sixth chakra: The seventh chakraThe seventh chakra is called Sahasrara in Sanskrit, and is like a crown above your head which creates an opening towards the heavenly divine. Christ is often depicted with a halo around his head, which represents the awakened spirituality of his 7th chakra. When you awaken your 7th chakra, you stop looking for the nectar of many flowers... your own flower has flourished. Now the birds and the bees and the people from all over the world will begin coming to you. Body: The seventh chakra hardly belongs to the body, but it's located close to the pineal gland, at the top of the brain. Mind: The 7th chakra is responsible for cosmic consciousness. The mind creates our belief systems that control our thoughts and actions. Excessiveness in the 7th chakra appears as being overly intellectual. Deficient energy manifests as difficulty thinking for yourself, apathy, spiritual skepticism and materialism. Spirit: In your highest state of enlightenment, you are truly one with the universe. Opening the seventh chakra: Meditation is the best method for opening the 7th chakra. The goal of such meditation is to clear and quiet the mind, which prepares you for experiencing the Divine. The 7th chakra is associated with the color white, a combination of all colors, as the seventh chakra is a culmination of all the other chakras. |
